» Exception:  The rate for on-site work (at your office or home) is $45/hour.

» Exception:  The rate for tutoring and personal instruction is $45/hour.

» Exception:  The rate for work on a “Build Your Own Website” system you’ve purchased such as Yahoo! Web Hosting or Microsoft Expression Web is $45/hour.  These are typically inclusive packages which offer domain registration, hosting, and web-building tools.  They are difficult to work with, and once they are customized, the do-it-yourself capabilities may effectively be disabled.

» My minimum price for a simple 1-page site is $250.

» My recommended list of hosting services currently includes only HostGator, BlueHost and Inmotion.  If your hosting service is unknown to me, and a substantial amount of revisions are needed, I may require you to switch to one of the companies on my list.
If you specifically use Dreamhost, ATT Webhosting, LunarPages, the Aplus.net/DeluxeForBusiness/Hostopia group, JustHost, Yahoo, GoDaddy, or OLM for hosting, I will require that you switch to a reliable and full-featured hosting service before work commences. While GoDaddy is the best Domain Registrar available, it is not true of its hosting service.

» I will only perform services for clients with whom I have a direct contractual relationship, whether actual or implied. I will only engage in work as a subcontractor to a third-party representative of a client if the contractual relationships is with the representative, not the client.

» Phone consultations lasting longer than 20 minutes will be charged at the normal hourly rate.

» Reimbursement for all expenses is required, including travel @ .55¢/mile, and all parking and garage fees.

» Browser Compatibility:  My websites are designed to be compatible with all modern browsers.  Please note that most versions of Internet Explorer have compatibility problems and are not considered “modern.” However, IE9 seems to have solved most of the issues.  My sites should render correctly on the current version of FireFox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc.  If you require “backwards compatibility,” an additional estimate will be necessary.

» Invoicing is via PayPal, PAYABLE UPON RECEIPT, which means I do not work with a 30- or 60-day billing cycle.

» Please note that PAYABLE UPON RECEIPT means after reasonable review, by End of Business Day (EOB), or by 6:00 PM if received prior to 12:00 noon. If received later, invoice is payable by 12:00 noon of the following Calendar day. There are no exceptions.

» Websites I design, develop or revise will normally contain a credit, usually in the footer area, reading “Web Design by Don London” or “Web Development by Don London” which links to my home page.
